About this coffee

Idido Natural is a sundried natural coffee from Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia, grown by small producers around the Idido area. The coffees are delivered to Mikiyas Bogale's washing station, where ripe red cherries are sorted and dried whole on raised African beds.

In the cup: strawberry, blueberry and red grape. The natural process gives this coffee a juicy fruit profile with plenty of sweetness, while the high elevation keeps the cup clean and lively. We roast it for both filter and espresso.

Idido grows at about 2,000-2,200 meters. The lot is made from heirloom and other local landrace varieties, grown under local shade trees such as Wanza, Girar and Weyira.

Things people ask us

What is a sundried natural coffee?

The coffee dries in the whole cherry before the seed is removed. That usually gives more fruit, sweetness and body than a washed coffee.

Filter or espresso?

Both. Choose Filter for the berry and grape notes. Choose Espresso for a sweeter, rounder cup.

What does Idido taste like?

Strawberry, blueberry and red grape.
